An Alzheimer’s diagnosis does not equal silence.

Rob Moir and Margaret Rice-Moir have been navigating Alzheimer’s together for almost two years now. A history teacher, union leader, and political activist all his life, Rob’s diagnosis has done nothing to quell his passion for civic engagement. Instead, with Margaret’s help, and the support of the Alzheimer’s Family Support Center, Rob continues to be an inspiring leader in his community.
“I want to inspire people with Alzheimer’s to get the best of themselves,” says Rob. “There are degrees to Alzheimer’s, but the more you fight, the more you live a life worth living while you’re here. My wife helps me do this. And my AFSC support group helps me do this.”
