Skilled Nursing Centers on Cape Cod
Skilled Nursing Facilities … provide rehabilitation and skilled nursing for those with short-term or long-term medical challenges. A nursing facility (in most cases, a nursing home; sometimes a special unit inside a hospital) that has been certified by Medicare, with the staff and equipment to give skilled nursing care and/or skilled rehabilitation services and other related health services.
Some provide separate, secure units and specialized programs for those with Alzheimer’s or who are memory impaired. Facilities are physician-directed with a staff of RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s rehabilitation therapists and social workers.
