Home medical supplies and aids for people with disabilities are available for loan, rent or purchase through many local agencies and retailers throughout the Cape.
Medicare and Medicaid will pay for an assessment to determine what equipment is reimbursable. To be evaluated, seniors may contact an occupational therapist at a certified home health agency or the outpatient department of a rehabilitation hospital.
Check your local councils on aging – they often have equipment for loan or rent.
